Take the plunge on Sea Girt beach and then head over to Rod’s Tavern for an amazing after-party with breakfast buffet. Registration includes a cool hoodie sweatshirt and entry to the after-party. All proceeds will help local veterans with home repairs and improvements to help them stay in their homes safely and affordably. More information here: LIFT Fund
The plunge is held in honor of NJ State Trooper and National Guardsman, Juan Fajardo. The NJ State Police and NJ National Guard have historically provided amazing support of this event!
Hoodie Pickup and In-Person Registration starts at 9AM. Ceremony at 10AM. Plunge at 10:30AM, followed immediately by the after-party at Rod’s.
This event is rain, snow or shine, but in the event of extreme weather or ocean conditions deemed to be unsafe by local authorities, we will not enter the ocean, conduct the ceremony, and proceed to Rod’s for the after-party.
No refunds or exchanges, must be present to collect hoodie or other giveaways.

On this 19 (F) degree day, New Jersey State Police Pipes and Drums, Mounted Unit, Office of Emergency Management, Marine Service Unit and Aviation Unit participated in the 2nd Annual Sea Girt Polar Plunge in Sea Girt, N.J., on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023. This year the Sea Girt Patriot Polar Plunge honored New Jersey State Trooper Sgt. Juan Fajardo.
